What are the requirements for joining the Orion Township Fire Department as a Firefighter/Paramedic?

The Orion Township Fire Department is accepting applications for Firefighter/Paramedics. This is a 56-hour work week schedule. Come join  IAFF Local 5342! The Orion Township Fire Department is an all-hazards department that provides fire protection and Advanced Life Support emergency medical services to the residents, businesses, and visitors of Orion Township. The department protects 36 square miles with a population of 40,000 residents. The fire department responds from four fire stations to over 3,500 calls a year.

Position: Firefighter/Paramedic (full-time)  
A candidate who has prior experience as a firefighter may be placed at a higher rate of one (1) step for each year of prior experience, up to a maximum of four (4) steps.
